TRASHOLUTION

Trasholution is our waste challenge with added social value. Separating festival waste and disposing of it correctly not only helps the environment, but also supports important projects in the region.

Here's how it works:

Collect your waste separately in the bin bags provided and hand it in at the recycling islands or directly to the waste collection service. For every full bin bag handed in, we donate €1 to social projects in the festival region. If you hand in a bin bag with sorted packaging waste, we will double the donation - €2 will go to a good cause! The more carefully you sort, the more can be recycled and the greater the joint impact. The donations collected will be distributed evenly among the projects so that everyone benefits from your contribution and receives the support they need.

And the best thing is: if you hand in your waste, you have the chance to win festival tickets for next year! Simply scan the QR code at the recycling islands or at the garbage collection point after you have dropped off your bag - you will also find all further information about the campaign there.

These are this year's donation projects:

Zora - 2500€

ZORA e.V. is a non-profit association based in Halberstadt in the Hildesheim region. For many years, ZORA has been offering low-threshold, creative and solidarity-based activities for children, young people and young adults. The focus is on promoting self-efficacy, community and participation - regardless of origin or life situation. ZORA sees itself as an open space in which young people can learn, create and grow together. The wide range of activities include a self-help bicycle workshop, a screen printing workshop, an open wood workshop, games afternoons and theater and music projects. The program is supplemented by regular workshops, concerts, vacation activities and other events.

ZORA pursues an inclusive and resource-oriented approach. Young people are given the opportunity to try things out, discover their own abilities and develop new perspectives. The donations are used to implement the hip-hop camp, a one-week project for 20 young people. In various workshops - on topics such as rap, graffiti and breakdancing - the participants are creatively encouraged, strengthened and supported in their expressiveness.

Cluster e.V. - 2500€

Cluster e.V. is a non-profit association from Hildesheim that is involved in various projects for the sustainable integration of young people and socially disadvantaged groups. With innovative approaches and model projects, the association pursues the goal of developing creative and integrative solutions for current social challenges. In doing so, Cluster e.V. focuses on low-threshold offers that promote access to important resources such as education, work and social networks.

One particular highlight is the “Fitness im Viertel - Nordstadt” project: a free fitness studio set up especially for young people in Hildesheim. The target group is primarily young people from third countries - but the studio is open to anyone who wants to exercise and connect with society. The donations will be used to purchase new sports equipment and training utensils to further improve the facilities and give even more young people access to exercise, health and community.

Frauenhaus Hildesheim - 2700€

Frauenhaus Hildesheim e.V. offers women and their children protection and support if they are affected by domestic violence. In a protected environment, they find refuge, advice and support - regardless of their origin, income or life situation. In addition to accommodation, the women's shelter offers psychosocial help, support in everyday life, accompaniment to authorities and a safe space for children. There is also an associated advice center for women who do not live in the shelter.

The donations will be used to provide a vacation retreat for residents and their children, offering them a much-needed break from the stresses of everyday life. Many of these families have never taken a vacation together - either for financial reasons or due to their insecure living situation. In the sheltered setting of a house in the Protestant youth recreation village of St. Peter-Ording, the aim is to create space for relaxation, new experiences and shared adventures. Walks, mudflat hikes and time by the sea strengthen self-esteem and promote stabilization. The leisure time is accompanied by staff from the women's shelter, who also offer psychosocial support during the trip.
