Band shaft No. 2

Two headliners and 27 more acts confirmed for M'era Luna 2023

The line-up of M'era Luna 2023 is complete: Together with the newly confirmed headliners VV and Within Temptation, there are now 36 acts on the two stages of Europe's biggest Gothic festival. For the upcoming edition on August 12 and 13, 2023, 25,000 guests from all over the world are again expected in Hildesheim-Drispenstedt.

The appearance of VV aka Ville Valo is likely to be awaited by the music world with particular excitement: The mastermind of the Goth Rock icons of HIM is going his own way and is about to release his first solo album "Neon Noir". The already released single "Loveletting" has impressively proven that Valo has lost nothing of his elegiac power, to which we owe emotional hymns that have captivated several generations of music fans with their aesthetics of melancholy and catharsis. His appearance at M'era Luna should therefore be a delightful mix of HIM anthems and new songs, uniting the artist's past and future in a special show.

Within Temptation have also achieved icon status and, with several singles, are raising hopes for an imminent follow-up to their number-one album "Resist" from 2019. The symphonic metal formation around singer Sharon den Adel and guitarist Robert Westerholt has had a rocket-like rise after its formation in 1996, which still has not found an end. The band is known not only for cleverly conceived albums and expressive songwriting, but also for their intense stage shows that leave fans around the world thrilled.

Also announced are English goth-rock formation Fields Of The Nephilim, exceptional vocalist Peter Heppner, American dark rock virtuosos London After Midnight, L'Âme Immortelle with opulent electro-rock and Mexican aggrotech trailblazers Hocico. Synth-pop veterans De/Vision, dark wave and electro phenomenon Diary of Dreams, aggrotech greats Agonoize and Amduscia, as well as New German hard rock pioneers Megaherz and acclaimed medieval rockers Tanzwut are also looking forward to seeing their fans again for intense concerts on the two festival stages.

Also taking part are Ashbury Heights, Neuroticfish, Frozen Plasma, The Cassandra Complex, Eisfabrik, Rabia Sorda, Melotron, Absolute Body Control, She Hates Emotions, Heldmaschine, Rave The Reqviem, Wisborg, Manntra, Versus Goliath, A Projection and Intent:Outtake.

M'era Luna Festival will take place on August 12 and 13, 2023. More information about the supporting program will follow in the future.
